The Zippo Armor Brushed Chrome Windproof Lighter 162 is the case Zippo has been making in the USA since 1932: an all-metal windproof shell with a flint-and-wick insert and the click everyone knows. Horizontal brushing across the chrome gives a fine matt texture that keeps fingerprints off it. The Armor case is pressed from thicker metal than a standard Zippo — noticeably more substantial in the hand, and it stands up to harder use. It arrives in a Zippo gift box and runs on Zippo premium lighter fluid, sold separately. Refillable for life, so a flint or a wick is the only thing you will ever need to replace, and it is covered by Zippo's lifetime guarantee — it works, or Zippo fixes it free.

Can I take this lighter on a plane?
From the Zippo Australia FAQ: on all domestic flights and most international flights, one fuelled Zippo windproof lighter is allowed in the passenger cabin. On domestic flights, up to two previously fuelled Zippo windproof lighters can go in checked luggage in an approved container. New, never-fuelled Zippo lighters can go straight into checked luggage. When travelling outside Australia, check with your airline first for its rules and those of the countries you are travelling in or to.
